Next month, I will be running the Newburyport Half Marathon to benefit Tutoring Plus of Cambridge.
Anyone who has been around me the past couple years has probably heard me gush about how much I love my student match and what this organization does for their neighborhood. Help me raise $100 for each mile I will run, with a total goal of $1,310. Every donation helps!!!
Over 50 years ago, a group of mothers in the Cambridgeport area reached out to MIT students for academic support for their children. This has grown into Tutoring Plus, which provides one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to over 180 students each year. Tutoring Plus was challenged to raise $15,000 by December 1st, and if they do so, the Amelia Peabody Foundation has agreed to donate a matching $15,000.
